Dr. Homberg is a distinguished and passionate internist and clinical research leader. She holds a Master of Science in Clinical Research (graduated with honors) and an MD from Westhill Institute (top of her class), in addition to completing her residency in Internal Medicine at Hospital Español.

 

Since 2016, Dr. Homberg has served as Head of Clinical Research at USEIC, a position reassigned to UDIBI as of 2024. In this role, she manages drug development trials, ensures data integrity, and contributes to the strategic planning and execution of clinical studies. Her work includes the design, monitoring, and reporting of clinical trials, as well as pharmacovigilance and compliance with regulatory requirements and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards. She also serves as a medical advisor in various areas and provides scientific training to project teams, contributing to business strategies.

 

In addition to her clinical research role, Dr. Homberg offers specialized medical consultation as an internal medicine physician. Her academic contributions include teaching research methodology and mentoring master’s theses. She also serves as a member of an independent ethics committee, providing scientific recommendations and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

 

Dr. Homberg’s clinical study experience spans a wide range of therapeutic areas, including immunology, infectious diseases, and allergic conditions. She has been published in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at international conferences, demonstrating her deep expertise in clinical research and medical science.

 

Fluent in Spanish, English, and proficient in German, Dr. Homberg is also skilled in scientific writing, project management, and data analysis, utilizing advanced statistical tools like SPSS and Graph Pad. Her dedication to both research and patient care has earned her numerous awards, including honorable mention for her master’s thesis and multiple distinctions for poster presentations at prominent medical conferences.
