What is Transferon Oral®?
Transferon Oral® is a dialyzable extract of leukocytes, composed of a mixture of 60 low-molecular weight peptides, which appear consistently and reproducibly in each batch.
The sequence and composition of all the peptides of Transferon Oral® have been determined, published, and protected by the IPN.
Transferon Oral® is indicated for the treatment of conditions with a significant inflammatory component, in which it has been shown that it can favor the course of recovery.
Its mechanism of action can be explained through the binding of its peptide components to its receptors, particularly monomeric ubiquitin.
Among the most important immunological changes induced by Transferon Oral® is the down-modulation of some proinflammatory cytokines and the up-modulation of gamma interferon.
It is a useful immunomodulator in:
- Allergic diseases.
- Repeat infections.
- Autoimmune diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus).
- Immunosuppressions due to the application of cytotoxic oncological treatments (breast, cervical-uterine, prostate, colon cancer).
